Your Writer's Bible

A Writer's Bible is different for everyone.  So what you put in it, is up to you.  It can be inspiring words or stories from a favorite author, inspiring words from yourself, a reference guide for your current story or for all of your writings.  It can be writing exercises to help ease writer's block or ideas and notes for future stories.  It can be any or all of this, should you choose.  Simply find yourself a binder, decorate it as you wish (or not, it's up to you), and fill it with whatever inspires and assists you in your writing.

This, and the following pictures, show my Writer's Bible.  As you can see, I had a little fun in decorating my binder, but I've had it now for several years (yes, I have an eclectic taste).  My bible has gone through several transformations and will probably go through several more before the binder is completely worn out.

Don't be afraid to refresh your bible from time to time with new inspirations.  As your writing progresses, so will your bible.  Please see below for more pictures.

These are my rudimentary tabs for quick finding research and reference.  As you can see, it can easily be added or subtracted to and is only for my benefit, no one else's.  It doesn't need to be perfect, unless you need it to be.  But keep it easy to update.  The more high end you go, the more expensive it can be to update your bible.
Yes, I have included the "Mother of All Questionnaires" which I referred to in my One of Character blog entry (you can find the URL there as well).  Until I find a better candidate for my character section, it will remain.

These are some of the fun ideas I've had for my bible.  A little inspiration and a little memory lane, these cheesy little rewards remind me of where I've come from, and where I'm heading in my writing career.  And yes, that is a D.A.R.E. Essay third place ribbon.  Go me!  I do have more awards, but they're just as silly and fun as these are.  I figure you get the picture.

And last, but not least, proof that I am eligible to write on all the writing roads of America.  Unfortunately, when I'm out of the country, I have no idea what to do.

Don't you like my fancy coloring ability?  Not bad, if I say so myself.
